Metal cnc milling.

Laserstuudio’s CNC router is highly efficient for cutting sheet materials. We offer CNC milling for aluminium and brass. (Laserstuudio does not provide CNC cutting for steel or other harder metals.)

Aluminium composite panels containing metal are particularly well suited for CNC milling. These materials are sold under various brand names, such as Dibond, Neobond, Dilite and others. They typically consist of a polyethylene core faced on both sides with painted aluminium and are usually 3 mm thick. Materials from different manufacturers vary slightly in the thickness of the aluminium layer. These panels can be printed with text or photographic images and can also be bent. It is best to choose the right type of aluminium composite according to its intended use: whether one or both sides will be visible, whether the surface will be printed or left plain, and whether the parts need to be bent or remain flat. If needed, our project managers are happy to advise.

For aluminium sheet materials, it is advisable to carry out a cutting test before milling, as some alloys are easier to machine than others. Choosing the right alloy is important for achieving a good cutting result.
